B.Com:- Bachelor of Commerce

B.Com. is an undergraduate course for three years FULL TIME.

 B.Com is among the most popular bachelor’s level programmes and is therefore B.Com is the most preferred choice of a majority of the students who complete their higher secondary education in the commerce stream. The programme of Bachelor of Commerce is FULL TIME and provided in college by the regular mode.

Bachelor of Commerce is a programme that equips students with an in-depth knowledge of the field of commerce pertaining to the areas in which they choose to specialise. Candidates are trained in the particular fields of their choice so that they gain proper knowledge and are capable of putting it to practical use. Through the course of B.Com, students are equipped with the knowledge about aspects that impact business and trade such as accounting principles, economic policies, export and import laws, etc.

B.Com. course offers SEVERAL job opportunities. Candidates can opt for professions like CA-Chartered Accountant, FA-Financial Analyst, Accounts Manager, Business Consultant, Tax Consultant, Business Executive, Financial Consultant, etc.

Most of the B.Com. graduates tend to go for a CA course along with or after completing their B.Com. degree.However, other notable courses to do after B.Com. include – M.Com., MBA, CFA, CS, etc. A student should choose a course according to their areas of interest.

Bachelor of Commerce course includes study of  economics, management  studies, computer applications, foreign trade management, taxation, accountancy, e-commerce, banking, etc.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have completed an intermediate level of education or equivalent from a recognised board
  • Candidates must have studied preferably Commerce in the 11th and 12th standards and also must meet the minimum eligibility criteria of the colleges/university.
  • The candidates who have completed 10+2 with Commerce and also have studied Mathematics in Class 12 as a compulsory subject get preference over other students.
